Inspirational Nuggets From Your Favorite Sports
Whether you agree to it or not, sports is one of the social constructs from which we can all learn a thing or two. Maybe you need a push to get into something that isn’t even sports related, want to channel your inner athlete, or are simply following a sport for the excitement, it takes your favorite athletes' talent and hard work to stay at the top of their game; no wonder they are so full of wisdom and encouragement.
That said, here are some nuggets from a few of our favorite sportspeople in the world to inspire you!
Muhammad Ali
It’d be safe to say that American professional boxer and social activist Muhammad Ali lived up to every one of his quotes and this made him the legendary boxer that he was. How did he manage to do what no other player had ever done and win three world heavyweight championships?
The secret that isn’t so secret is in one of the star’s quotes. So the only time Ali would begin counting his sit-ups, was when it hurt and he couldn’t do them. His training only counted when it hurt. Folks, that’s how you defend the title for close to two decades and become the inventor of the modern self-assured persona.
Michael Jordan
When Michael Jordan said, “I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed,” we all felt it. Probably because we were at our lowest point or know what it’s like to be there. You’d want to believe the former Chicago Bulls as he is also the greatest basketball player of all time.
During his career, Jordan won six Championship titles in 15 seasons. He now owns Charlotte Hornets and the NASCAR team 23XI racing, which should inspire all that failure doesn’t mean we have no greatness in us. It’s simply a chance to keep chasing our win.
